Would this work?

I have an xm radio with a wireless fm modulator, but the quality of the sound sucks, and i dont want to spend any money on a blitzsafe, so...
could I take apart the fm modulator, and simply run a wire from it's output antenna to the antenna-in on the back of the stock headunit?
is this the same as "powered fm modulation," or is that something different?

diffrent and dont think it would work. even if you did get it to work it would probably sound worse.
