Would the TL beat this car?
OK i'm gonna answer this question 2 ways. One being you don't know about the skyline and the other as if you are just asting dumb. OK no, The TL is not faster, a lot of work would need to be put into a tl to even match that car, i mean thousands of dollars would be needed. And the syline is all wheel drive. I'm not gonna post numbers because it is a ridiculous comparo. Now, if you are just messing around, shame on you, you should know better.
are u kidding me? the skyline gt-r is king of the hill in japan. it is seriously detuned for the consumer market. it literally can be modified with simple bolt-ons for hp in the 350-400 range. Tuning the bottom end and upgrading turbos can easily yield 600-700hp. the motor literally barfs out horsepower.
even at the stock 280hp it has been estimated that realworld hp is in the 320 range much like the supra and the 3000gt.
the quoted 0-60 and the 1/4 mile (and trapspeed) are far away and beyond anything the TL(s) could do. and the money you would spend to do it would be better spent just buying a used supra...
even the R32 (2 generations behind the car in ebay) would pretty much smoke a TL.
dont be surprised if the bids hit above the asking price by Motorex of around $88k for the V-Spec II. i still don't think its worth it when it sells in Japan for $52K...
it's still badass though...i saw a silver one in cerritos driven by an older gentleman but he put on freakn chrome wheels on a racecar...AAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!

Ya don't need to crack open the motor to get 700 out of a skyline or a supra. BPU, Better fuel injectors/pump, cam gears, intercooler, and a T78-T88.

Heh, actually, of the past 3 generations, the R32 is the fastest (in the straight line) It is the truest of the form that the skyline used to be. Much like the M3 is doing... the E30 was very 'purist' and hardcore if you will. The E36 got more luxury oriented, and now the E46, is quite bulky and heavy. BMW fans appreciate the E30's upholding the legacy of what M stands for, much as the R32 is the gozilla of a car it was meant to be. (It's been tested to run high 12's from the factory
). And even if the R34 *is* heavier and less of a true Skyline than the R32, is. I'd have to take it because of the sheer Technology and Research put into it. The thing has a serial port to hook up to your computer to download your lateral g graph history. I mean who can't turn this down?

Ya need to go back and re-read it. The winner paid $13,500 for the right to buy the car for $105,000. That means the winning bidder is paying around $118, 500 for that car.....

I still think they're ugly. If I had $100k to spend on a car it would need to look like a $100k car.

You go back and read it. The Bid is a deposit not the right to buy the car. He is asking for $21k deposit if the bidder bid $13,500 then he needs to add $7.5k to get the car. The value of the car at $105,000 does not change.
anyways, you could buy the same car in japan for $35k+ brand new, and it will cost you less than $10k to modified to meet US regulations and ship over to US.
What you are bidding on is the deposit for the ordering of a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II, you are not bidding on the actual car. Once the auction in over, your final bid will not be taken into affect, and the winner will be contacted with all the information on ordering. I will require a 20% deposit towards the car. This 20% comes from the $105,000USD asking price. The total deposit amount is $21,000USD and will be required by form of a check.
