Unhappy A wobble in my wheel....

I live in the mountains of VA and sometimes when coming down a pretty long decline near my house, my steering wheel begins to "wobble" upon braking and I lose a good portion of the braking capability. I would expect some brake fade, but this wobbling and amount of fade seems excessive. Also, it sometimes happens under hard braking on the highway which is not a good thing.

What does everyone else think? Has anyone else experienced this? I had a similar problem in my 98 Accord EX V6 but not until it had 90,000 miles on it. When I had that car checked out, they said my rotors were warped and needed to be turned. They did that and the problem was fixed. But for my TLS, this doesn't seem like something that should be happening after only 19,000 miles.

Early Gen TLs and CLs have this problem. You may also...

Oh yeah, I mean the problem is probably warped rotors. Usually vibration is felt in the pedal also...

What's the fix/solution? Should I ask that the rotors be replaced?

It should be done under warranty. They usually try to resurface the rotors cause its cheaper....push for new rotors but its up to the service manager to make the decision

Definitely push for new rotors. It's crap that they are already warped (outside of some extreme braking).

Yep, I think your rotors are either uneven (in case it is a minor wobble) or warped (in case it is a pretty considerable wobble).
My dad's Q45t had the same problem. The car's rear end shakes side to side when braking on the highway. The dealer was able to fix it by resurficing the rotors and replace a new set of brake pads. Depends on how nice is your local dealer, the price for surficing/replacing the rotors might or might not be covered under the warranty. It is up to them to interpret how it got warped in the first place. (ie, did you abuse the brakes, hence warping the rotors).

Good luck!
