windshield washer question

one of my windshield washer sprayers stopped working (driver side). After trying the needle in the hole trick, I am going to remove the cover thats attached to the hood but I want to make sure I can just pop the plastic tabs without damaging anything. Also are there any hidden screws to prevent me from removing it? Is there an easier way to trouble shoot this?

check/pull the hose off from the bottom side and make sure that fluid is coming out from it if it is, its a clog in teh nozzle.

that's the crappiest stuff i've ever used. if you want rain-x, do it the right way by rubbing on and buffing off. soooo much better.

That stuff works best when used in conjunction with rain-x

not quite sure how rain-x fixes the sprayer, but to answer your ques. yes, but it doesnt work very good unless you wipe it on and the additive to your regular wash fluid helps maintain longevity.

Mine also has this prob. I was thinking of using a tooth brush to "clean the nozzle" the next time I wash the car. (my wife's tooth brush)

You could also try compressed air. Just like the cans you use for cleaning your computer or screen.

I am using the rain-x windhsield wiper fluid now as well and will never buy it again. It streaks worse than anything else I have used and doesnt seem to afford me any improved water repellance.

I use Rain-X, the wipe on and rub off product, as well. That stuff rocks, imho, and will allow me to drive with no wipers at all if i wanted to. Maybe it is the combination of the two, I dont know but the rain-x windshield wiper fluid works terrible for me.
