Does anyone know if Lumar <--? tint is any good? Also, I got a quote for $280 for 7 windows, I guess the small corner one's in the rear count as 2, but is that a good price? The guy said he will use 1 piece for the rear.

 

I've got the LLumar tint on my car. And price is relative to where you live, the number of installers in your area, and how good the install team is. The folks who installed mine charged around $250, I think. And the rear passenger windows were considered one window, not two.

Anyway, you really want to talk to Tdoh -- his bro owns a tint shop and he should be able to answer a few questions for ya!

Llumar tint is one of the common ones used..i have Llumar tint and i have had no problems (e.g., cracking, fading, peeling, etc).

i dont know about CA but in FL, i paid $149 for 15% on rear and back windows, and 28% on the front...plus, the rear window was done in 1 piece. i have the Llumar titanium tint.

 

I got mine done for $170 including taxes for all windows except the front 35%

Im in Baltimore.. My friend charges $100.00 4-dr cars. He uses Johnson Tint. I have had it on all my cars and it is greadt.

 

I just had my 2003 TL-S in Anthracite Metallic tinted. Did the back, and all sides in Johnson manufactured Silhoutte tint, in #4. #5 is the dark limo tint that the shop said is not safe for the driver and front passenger sides as it blocks out too much light at night. And #4 on the driver and passenger side is slightly too dark to be legal, but went ahead and did it anyway because I believe that I can justify that dark a tint for reasons that I need not go into on this forum.

I used the shop that does the tint for Valencia Acura, Valencia, CA, which is where I bought my Tl-S on May 1, 2002. The total cost was $205.00, and it does look great.

And for the back window, the tint was placed behind the brake light, not cut out.

The window tint is guaranteed for the life of the car.
