Question Window Frame Bubbles

Just noticed that the frame around the drivers window is beginning to "bubble". I am guessing that it is covered with the same material as the black pillars between the side windows. Has anyone else had this problem in this location, and if so, did warranty cover repair/replacement?

Are you talking about the pillars or the window trim metal?

It is covered by warranty. Talk to your dealer.

Yes it is covered under the warranty. The window trim is actually black tape. I had mine replaced for free.

LOL!
I think it was so stupid of Honda/Acura to put black tape on it knowing that it can bubble. Why didn't they just paint it?

Mine has done that too. It appears to be black tape.

Thanks for all the responses. The problem is definitely the tape around the window. I talked to a buddy of mine who does window repair work for my local dealer, and he is getting their ok to fix it for me without taking it into the dealer. They will have his fix on their permanent records. I STILL think Acura should have painted this black or used a moulding instead of tape!
