Window Bar Finish
Window Bar Finish
On the '03, is the glossy, outside finish on the small bars separating the back seat windows some type of tape? One of mine is starting to wrinking-up. How can it be fixed... pull it off and reapply?
Thanks

Yeah, I had the same problem with on of my window trims, frames, or whatever you want to call 'em. Yield2S is right, but it's not as easy as it sounds.
I took mine to the dealer and they had to send it to the body shop. The good part was that they're covered under warranty and they gave me a TSX as a loaner. The bad part is that it took like three days and I just so happened to leave my golf clubs in the car. So I went by the body shop to get them, and I almost had a fukin heart attack. They took me back to what looked something like my car. All four doors were totally taken apart!
I'm like WTF :rocketwho They even took the windows out!! It took them like 20minutes just to let me in my trunk to get my clubs b/c the trunk release was taken apart.
Apparently, this is what you have to do to properly remove the tape and apply the paint to trim area. They could have at least prepared me before just walking me back and seeing my ride all pulled apart.
Anyway, that's whats involved and when I got my car back, it looked perfect. They took care of all four areas including the ones that were okay. I guess they know it will bubble up eventually, so paint them now.
