I don't mean to be rude or something, but 18 is not considered dub!!
LOL.>>>... Hope rolling the fenders or getting 215/40 would prevent rubbing for you... to me, rubbing is the end of the world, my driving habbit cost my tires wear out every 3-4 months, go figure...

The plastic tabs are only found in the back...correct? Do you think I will experience any rubbing in the front?

What can I cut the plastic tabs with?

tks for your help

For some reason rubbing in the rear is usually the only problem, unless you have some crazy offset or wheel width. I rub in the rear on rare occasions, but never in the front, even when turning a full circle at a decent speed.

I've been doing extensive research on this topic, and I've compiled a list of different rim sizes and offsets, and specifically whether they will rub with lowering springs installed.
I've noticed that many 18x8 wheels with 43mm offset will not rub, even with the car lowered.
So if your car isn't lowered, then I'd say it definitely won't rub according to my observations.
Good luck!

If you get 18x7 with +45, you can get a wider tire like 225 with 40 series and you won't even have to worry about rubbing.
