will I rub?

I have some Konig Absolute's 18x7.5 rims with Nitto 555 225/40/18 tires. The offset on the rims is +45. I want to get the H&R sport springs, does anyone know for sure if I will rub? I also have the OEM kit. Anyone running the same that doesn't experience rubbing?

Hmmm... that may be close, but I think you'll be OK. I'm running 225/45/18 right now on H&R Sports and I have no rubbing problems. So with a 40 you should be fine....

You will be fine. I have the Konig Toxxins with comptech springs. I had the 225/40/18, and now I have the 225/35/18. Reason I went with the 35, made it look more aggressive. Either way, you will be just fine.

I do not have the bodykit. I will be getting it probably next year. The kit will definitely be low to the ground.. but you should be OK. You'll just have to take it easy on sharp incline/declines and big speed bumps, etc....

the reason I ask, is cause i heard that if it does rub, some people have sanded down the tab or something in the rear.....not sure what they talking about, cause I look and I don't see a tab. LOL

Just wondering, but what does 225/45/18 mean?

There's a little piece in the rear fender well you can shave if you're rubbing slightly. Having a bodykit or not has no affect on that. SInce I don't rub.. and you have a lower profile tire... you'll be fine....

fortunate: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/general/size.htm ... great info there.

In a nutshell: 225 is the width of the tire in MM. 45 is the ratio of sidewall height to width. The lower the number the lower profile the tire. 18 is the diameter of the tire.
