wierd headlight problem

ok like 3 months ago i was in the gas station and i was pumping my gas and the guy infront of me was like you know one of your headlights are out and im like wtf.. so i look and yup its out. So i finish at the pump and pull out all pissed off so at the next light i say hey lemme turn the lights off and turn them back on and viola there back on.. so no problems in the past three months.. now tonight im at a light and i see the reflection from the car infront of me that my light is out again (same light) so i do the same thing.. on and off.. and it works. why is my light doing this? its bothering the shit out of me bc i dont feel like changing my lights.. so whats goin on here?

btw: my headlights are cleared but never had any fogging... if that matters?

I had that problem when I first got my car, it ended up being a cracked headlight housing with water leaking into the ballast. Bring it to the dealership.

My HID foglight does that once in a while on the passenger side. There's no leak or anything, so I don't know what it could be, besides possibly some kind of an electric problem.

Are the keys in the ignition? If they are then probably a faulty relay or connection some where.

Not for anything, but check the fuses under the hood

no- mine did did the same thing, flickered sometimes then eventually yes, it went out completely. It turned out to only be a fuse. Check under the hood, it will take 5 seconds.

Yo, My 2000 has the same problem. i talked to a couple of automative electricians in my area, and they said that my ballast is acting up. So I went to the dealership and they said that a Ballast Job will cost me at least $375.00. That's what they told me, they might give you a different quote. oh, and I tried switching the fuses around because the horn relay & both headlights use the same kind of fuses. I think one of my ballast wires is loose or exposed in some manner. If I could get to it I'd fix the shit.
