Why is My Car so SLOW???
I have a 00'TL, Everything is fine on the car, im on my second tranny. My problem is that my car feels so slow. It doesn't feel sluggish or anything it just feels as if it only has like 150hp. When I do gun it, nothing happens for a couple of seconds then the acceleration kicks in. A stock nissan altima 4cyl 2.5L killed me!! WTF is wrong with my car?

maybe the throttle line slipped and is loose now... try adjusting the tension on the gas pedal by messing with the throttle cable under the hood. i wouldn't be surprised if this is the problem, based on the symptoms you provided.

Could need a tune up. How many miles you got? Did you check the air filter mine was real dirty and it kind of hurt performance so I dropped in a K&N. The one thing that should really help is seafoam. Run a can each through intake, gas tank, and crank case. My car used to do that too, When I floored it, it took a second or two to take off. The seafoam helped that for sure.
