Whining noise at 60mph when acceleration

I am getting this whining noise, kinda high pitch when accelerating at around 60mph. If I let off the gas, it goes away but as soon as I press on it again, it comes back. Anyone know what this might be?

Do you have an aftermarket stereo installed? Maybe it's alternator whine.

I've had a whine before, but it was almost continuous at high speeds. It turned out to be the tires... but I doubt thats what your experiencing.

Do you have headers?

I still have my stock tires with 56k miles on them. I do have an aftermarket stereo installed but it happened before that too.

I don't have headers.

I could still go another 20k with my stock tires. They have a good amount of tread still left on them...

At this point, there are so many things wrong with my car that I don't even care really. The car drives worse than our 180k mile accord. Seriously, I hate driving the thing. I just like looking at it. Everytime we go somewhere, I insist someone else drive because, I can't stand the transmission being so f**ked up amongst other things with the engine.

Could you be more specific? Which front pipe are you referring to?

I had the same noise, especially while accelerating through the lower gears. Dealership has done a lot of work (like replacing throttle plate), but ended up with the transmission replacement. It's better now, but there is still some whining noise that I can hear (I am slightly paranoid about noises). While driving different loaners during that ordeal (all 3.2 TL, and one with only 19k) I've heard the same kind of whining - much less pronounced though.

check cv joints, wheel bearings, tires, etc...

when i had the whining noise, they replaced the bearings and it was fine, BUT then i had the wobble, which they say is from thw tires being out of round.
