I have gotten Tint done at NYC tints over on 76 and Queens Blvd They did all over and the top of my windshield for $160 no appointment needed and quick.

Paint I have done over on 39th place and skillman next door to Amoco their called Global auto body very nice work price is average maybe a little high very reputable They do mostly Mercedes and BMW's and high end models.

Mechanic's I have had minimal probs only had brakes changed all front and back with standard brakes over at some place in Astoria only charged me around $100 total (brakes are OK not great)

Oil Changes get done over at 77 and Norther blvd. big location nice and clean with mobil one and mobile one filter for around $59 a little pricey but it includes a very nice car wash and they are friendly.

I have tried this new location which charges me cheaper for around $45 bucks Mobile one regular filter and Average cleaning.
They are located across from Mets motel around 73Street and Queens blvd.

That all I have anyone else want to add their favorites.

Tints: Great Neck Car Wash, my cousin has a contract with them for his limosine company, so me along with anyone I refer get preferred treatment there. Price is about $200 but 'A' Class quality work and lifetime guarantee.

Paint and Body Work: I have a body shop owned by a friend of mine who I've been going to for a while in New Hyde Park, on Denton Ave. Its a reputable body shop, and the guy is a good friend of mine. Its called Frame Auto Collision, rates are reasonable, quality of work is superb!!

I would like to know where to get springs installed in NY for a decent price if I bring them in myself.

Bayside , New York and i also got my tints done at The tint shop which is in my opinion one of the best places in the LI/ queens area. Joe is a really nice guys and always hooks up the prices and does the best job. Only guy i know that has HIDS on his work Astro Van.

I've got tints done at the same place NYDesi80 mentioned, Great Neck Car Wash. Pretty good job. Got it done for $200.

For aftermarket installs, I've gotten my sways installed at Redline in Corona, Queens on Northern Blvd. Cost me $60. I got my Icebox installed at Ultima Performance in Lynbrook, Long Island.

 

got my tints done at a korean place in flushing for $140-ish. they did a great job...

-got my fogs and my intake installed at Big Boys Toys on QB, a little pricey but they do good work, tints at this place on Northern, headers installed at the junk yards by Shea Stadium for 150, also had resonators removed there, got my subs installed at Best Buy on QB(excellent work).

since everyone is talking about tints, any tint place is good as long as they have a precision film cutting machine (cuts out the shape of the glass on a tint by a machine) like Mobile Universe, which makes the tint job look 'like "factory" and beautiful w/o messy edges.

Car washes: Oakleys or Hi-Tek.

Mechanics: you should have your own, otherwise finding a a really good mechanic is like gambling.

teknoking what did they charge you for tints at Mobile Uni? I got my sidemarkers installed there, ripped off for $150. Never going back there, they did a shitty job too.

Most aftermarket parts can be installed here in Staten Island. Tire Empire / Wheel Concepts on Hylan Blvd.

Pretty good place to get an alarm is High Quality on E17 and Ave Y in Brooklyn.

 

Any recommendations for spring install? I was planning on talking to my body shop guy... u think they would do springs?

Did my rotors and pads, gonna do my shocks next.

I've already had my comptech springs for about 50K miles.
I'm keeping the springs but swapping out the stock shocks for some koni yellows.

Did the brakes myself, will be doing the shocks myself as well.

Mobile Universe is only good for tints, everything else in there like you said its a rip off.

I believe i paid 200 bux overall, its worth it though.

 

Car Spa for Tints in Brooklyn on Flatlands and Remsen Ave. $160 all 5 windows and they did an excellent job. Picked it up like 2 hours later.

 

Did you get it done over there and how much would they charge any idea? It seems if you buy the springs and bring it to a shop they jack up on the intall price.

 

Bed Stuy. Tints are all that have been done, went to Illusions on Queens Blvd.
