Where to get a 6MT ?

I know the following trannys fit on our 2g tls
03-cls
04+ tl

I'm looking for a 04+ 6 speed tranny but havn't really found a place besides car-parts.com selling them for about $1000-$1400. Where did you guys find your trannys?

03+ accord ones are 750ish... May seem more pocket friendly.

i think im gonna start parting together a 6spd so i wont think about selling my car anymore..

chances are i'll use the accord 6spd because of price and availability.
i think the only difference is the CL-S has LSD?

correct me if im wrong somebody

of course you can always buy the part to MAKE it LSD down the road.

prolly what im going to do... when the time comes that is...

and you might get alot of guys with info about the 3G 6spd..
CLS6 tranny is god around here.. if im not mistaken thats what most of them use for the swap.. havent seen too many accord or 3G swaps

Looks like im going to get the 3g tl tranny then. Rather spend the money upfront and do it right. CL-S tranny is prolly ridiculous to find.

I wouldnt waste my time on the 6 speed if you dont get one with the LSD. LSD makes a world of difference.

The pop in 3rd problem was solved though. They just changed fluids from Acuta to GM and has been fine, I believe.

Has he tried the GM fluid though? There are a few threads in the 3G side explaining about the pop out of 3rd.

The fluid helps but it doesnt seem to work for every one. I believe its a syncro problem.

Eh, I'm going to pay the extra couple hundred to not have anything break on me. It's been a real hassle this summer.

Plan: HBP, Emanage Dyno Tune, Gauges

What happened: Gauge installed bad, caused o2 sensor problem (wiring was done bad) had it fixed at honda dealer, it came back with a broken tranny...

My simple, HBP dynotune plan tuned into a 6mt nightmare. and worse of all I START SCHOOL MONDAY...

my 3g tranny was rebuilt after the TSB, i slam it hard and never had a pop out with the tsb and the revised honda fluid.

i think that GM shit just covers the problem up.

it solves a symptom, not a problm
