Continuing my trend of "what if" threads, I thought it might be fun to let our imaginations go wild and design our dream TL from the ground up. Of course this is limited to 2G TLs, but select whichever year and model you want, colour, mods... whatever...

Pictures/links to any mods you can provide would be appreciated for those of us who are not yet fully in the loop about everything

My dream Tl would b RWD or SHAWD with a V8 and a 6spDSG or manual gearbox. aesthetically my car is already perfect in my eyes. I just need to repaint it & take a few door dings out

 

'00 or '01, nbp, 6sp, black leather, catback, 19" zenetti 5 chrome, ~2 in drop, oem lips, 2003 tails w/ red blacked out, headlights blacked out too, oem spoiler, 5% window tints. Plain but sweet

 

a dream TL would be...

endless supply of mugen spoilers that are going for $150 painted...

also for the 99-01 brothers.. and sisters..... endless supply of OEM lip kits..

maybe for the 02-03 too..

Stock 2008 TLS in 6sp with a super charger. I like the stock look, and leaving little kids who drop their cars at the lights.

Well I still have a lot to learn about what to do, but here goes what I have thus far...

- 03 TL-S A-Spec in ABP with black interior
- remove A-Spec spoiler and install Mugen lip spoiler
- 25% tints all around
- 18" wheels + 2" lower... OR... have the car bagged (still learning more about this process)
- 4,300k Phillips HID bulbs, 5,000k highbeam bulbs, 5,000k HID Foglights
- replace all interior lights with hyperwhite LEDs + license plate light in hyperwhite LED
- white footwell lights
- replace all interior button lights with either white, blue, or a combo of both in LEDs
- dash light mod along the lines of that done by OntarioTL
- dash trim kit, possibly do the whole thing in the black marble, or glossy black... still have to find something that looks amazingly good to me
- exterior door handle lights in white


That's pretty much all I have for now. I don't have much in the way of performance enhancing mods as I'm still learning all about that stuff, but aesthetically speaking, I think it'd at least look nice

 

Well I did post it in the 2G forum... and the OP does say that this is 2G specific.... so....

 

2003 TL Type-S in a nice gray/silver. Black interior with silver interior accents.

Maybe some Twin-Turbo's. Don't know if its possible, but Twin-Turbo just sounds cool. Quad pipes, maybe some 18" Type-S rims. Factory lowered just a tad. RWD, with about 320 horsepower. Panoramaic sunroof for the entire roof. And an updated navigation system.

And how about a problem-free transmission. Oh, and go ahead and let the car last about 370,000 miles without a problem!
