Howdy

Now I know, I know... the Mugen lip spoiler is harder to find than Bigfoot, but I just wanted to know if there are other options with regards to it. I know buying one brand new here in North America is pretty much out of the question by now, getting one used is extremely rare... but what about ordering one from overseas? Are there other countries where this product is still sold?

I understand that even if they are sold that shipping costs would likely be astronomical, but I'm just wondering if this is even an option. I've searched for a while, but can't seem to find anything.

I'm not sure but I don't think you could find one even oversea. The thing is that Mugen lip spoiler was discontinue model which Mugen didn't make it anymore for a while now. Maybe if you have someone in Japan, then you might have a better luck to find one.

 

^^ agreed, i think Inspire Tl guy is trying to mold up his mugen spoiler to make a replica one for us. Hopefully it comes soon

 

Indeed. While it would be nice to own an original Mugen lip spoiler, I won't have any issues with going for the replica so long as it's true to the original.

 

 

yeah, I've looked to quit. I remember i found one a while back but the price was insane! Like the price of a full lip kit. That spoiler only looks good with a lip kit. I would buy a knock off if there was one for 200ish!

 

The only way your going to get one is if a shop has it laying around in stock. Mugen stopped making it. Or find one used. Either way your going to pay out of your arse.

yeah hes not lying. He was nice enough to put forth the effort of having a mold made of HIS mugen spoiler.. he tried... who knows maybe hes still searching..

 

Maybe it's not on his high priority list. I talk to Heeloe (Marcus) few weeks ago and he said replica Mugen spoiler is not on his highest priority right now, so..... keep waiting.....

 

how hard do you think it would be to make a box and put in the lip and pour in some goop and then you'd have to mold? i have no idea, thats why i asked. i'm just thinking that those goofs on myth busters are always making face and body molds. if you knew how to do this and could work out a system you could make some cash. hmm....

 

what if it hardens hardcore and your precious spoiler is stuck inside a block of solid goop?

 

then you shoot a bullet through it and measure the distance it travelled?

 

If not now, then when? As it is our cars are depreciating to the point where you don't need a lot of money to purchase one. Eventually no one is going to want to spend the money on it.

 

do you think those kids with integras and older civics want to buy a real mugen spoiler?
in 5 years the ua5 and maybe later the ua6 will be in the hands of a bunch of tuners and thats when the market for replica parts will grow. most of the guys who can afford one now can afford the real shit.

the market is changing right about now as you see more and more <21 year olds on the ua5 side and less and less older guys as they move to g35s, ua6s, bmws, etc...
