so, this week i will definitely be picking up the new family vehicle, 2012 Dodge Journey R/T. now, my problem is i have 4 vehicles but only room for 3.
i need to sell one to fund my 1968 mustang project but i dont know which one. these are the 2 vehicles in question.

i love the GT4 purely for how good it is in the winter, but the TL is no slouch either with winter tires.
i love the TL because its a much more luxury ride than the GT4 and much more "grown up" and i love the VIP look, which is ultimately what i want to do with it, where as i wont be touching the GT4 as far as mods go anymore.
either way it doesnt matter, as my wife wont be driving either one since whe will have the Journey to drive, im just torn myself.
any feedback is much appreciated, help sway my decision, ask any questions if it helps the process!

 

I would keep GT4 to have occasional fun with from time to time. With time, TL's transmission can become a burden. If you were to sell your GT4, how much are you asking? I am in Cgy, too, and always looking for a car to play with (pending my CFO's approval ie. wife).

 

ya, the tranny has been replaced by Mr. Transmission last year and with better than OEM parts so im not worried about the tranny. if i were to sell the GT4 (ive since lowered it with Teins) with the wheels(only used maybe 1k km) id want 7k minimum i think. it has 123k on it.

LOL that Dodge Journey can beat the TL and almost the GT4in a straight line, it aint no slouch! but its gotta be done, i need an SUV for the kid and a better vehicle for boarding in the mountains.

i think people really underestimate the new Dodge Journey, its a fuckin awesome SUV, at least in the R/T version.

 

Seriously? The Journey is like 350kgr Heavier than the TL with (2WD R/T 3.5L 235HP) and the (AWD R/T 3.6L 283HP) version is a wooping 960kgr heavier than the TL thats almost a TON.

I didnt know the TL-P was so Underpowered.....

Regarding your Question I think you need to Sell the car that You dont like that much Anymore, Nothing is worst than having a car that you dont actually drive.

 

If you have plans on modding other cars keep the one that you would not want to mod to have more money for the others.

 

sell the one that will get you more money in your pocket.

Easy choice. Ask a friend if you can park a car at their place for just a short little several years, maybe more.

Seriously though, I would sell the car that can get you more money, as stated above. Which one do you use more often though? From your post, it seems you are leaning toward keeping the TL, as the gt4 is no longer being modded.

 

it cost 3300, i was butt hurt for sure.

i use the GT4 more often because m wife drives the TL most of the time. the initial thought was to sell the GT4 and keep the TL, but now that we have another vehicle, im torn, i like them both.

 

well we will see what happens. i put them both up for sale today, possibly getting into a JDM Celsior as well as having the 68 Mustang to put back together.

 

Sell the TL, they are a dime a dozen compared to the GT4

the tires are too tall for our cars, but im willing to sell them now actually. but you are in the states and im in canada, shipping would be expensive i would think.
