Question What Version of DVD should I have?

At acuranavi.com it mentions a notice for an update from 2.11b
version DVD. I purchased my 2003TL in September 2003, slightly over 3 months ago. The version I currently have is 2.03.

What version should have been in the NAVI unit when I purchased it ?????????

The latest version that came with the 2nd gens from the factory was 2.05. I don't believe any got the 2.11b update before leaving the factory, unless some dealers swapped it out of the goodness of their hearts. There weren't a lot of major upgrades between 2.03 and 2.05, but the 2.11b upgrade is huge--well over 95% of the country is now mapped. It'll set you back $185 but it's well worth it IMHO.

i have a 2nd gen car and the car came with 2.03.

earlier 2nd gen came with 2.03. some came with 2.05.

in NY. there is no difference between the two versions. i am using the 2.11B now which makes a hell of a difference. its worth the extra cost.

2.11b is the latest and greatest. It is an obvious improvement but one could go blind trying to see unverified roads against the dark background. Hoping that the fix is included with the upcoming update.

Would a 2.05a version from an MDX work in my 2000 TL?
