This is what the stealership told me.

I brought my car to the dealer(99TL-P w/81k miles) because I was feeling double shifts when I would put my car into drive when trying to park. The dealer told me after servicing the car that my engine mounts(3 of them) were broken. I told them to check on the transmission and they said that the transmission was fine. He told me that my car was not under the 100k warranty for transmissions and it was only up to 50k. I don't believe this to be true, he told me that he checked the vin number and it didn't show that it was covered up to 100k. How can I check this to be true?

The dealer should be correct. Honda has problems with their 5-speed auto's and the '99 still used a 4-speed.

I would check with customer service because I know some of the 3.0 V6 accords were covered to 100K

The 99's are covered as well. The dealer here told me mine was covered and if I had ANY problem I should bring it in ASAP.

Go to acura owner link and register if you havn't yet. It will tell you in there. If your car came from Canada then it's a different story & they wont cover it.

When my tranny went out I had three busted motor mounts as well, which I thought might be due to the tranny, but the dealer assured me that it wasn't.

Is this a common problem with the TL, that is, motor mounts tearing/breaking? I've heard more than a handful of people complaining about motor mount issues lately. I wouldn't mind some upgraded ones if I can rationalize the cost!

Register and log into Acura Owner's Link Once you log in an register your VIN, click on the "Recalls" link next to your car and it will tell you if your car is covered under the exteneded tranny warranty.

All 99s are covered 7/100k. Your dealer is lying. End of story.

Have a 99 and the original card from Acura telling the previous owner that he was covered up to 100,000 or 7 yrs. Unfortunately my car is 7 years and 3 months old=out of warrenty with only 49000 miles on it.

mine are starting to get loose cause the engine jerks sometimes when I shift it into reverse from park and I my steering wheel vibrates slightly when I am stopped - it never did that before.
