For those with comptech headers, how is the sound compared to the CAI? I have the AEM CAI and I just love the sound of it when VTEC kicks in. Is the sound of the headers even better than the CAI? If it is, I can't wait.

BTW, do headers really make a difference? FYI, I have a 99 TL.

 

I think headers. They don't actually increase noise by themself, but since they increase flow, my guess is that you increase noise in other components like intake and exhaust. I remember SSS TL(99) with headers/CAI/exhaust had a different noise to than just CAI/exhaust. Very sweet sound.

They do make a high-end difference, but they look so good.:wow:

Less sound than an intake. I've never had headers without an intake but the intake is definitely all you can hear at 3500+. I got intake and exhaust before headers so its hard to say how much noise they provide... but I'm going to say they give a low, powerful feeling. Maybe thats the exhaust though. Or like Bitium said, maybe it makes everything sound better.

It's definitely the combo of exhaust and CAI. I recently bought the quiet tips for my exhaust and when it hits VTEC it doesn't make a really loud sound anymore.

So I say CAI and exhaust gives the most sound
