I know that the TLS is like the GT of the Mustang world. But what is the TL-P? What makes it different from the TLS or other TL's? I have a 00 TL, and I think it's a J-code.

 

TLS is the 260 hp engine that is a bit more sporty. the TLP is just the regular TL with 225 hp. you have a TLP because the TLS did not come out till 2002. both engine codes start with the J32.

 

TL-P is just a term that some are using. The P = Premium just a term for Base model 3.2TL or non Type S model. I don't know why they use it our car badges say 3.2TL & thats what I purchased 3years ago.

 

I have seen "premium package" in an add with 3.2 TL is there no difference between the TL and the TL-p?

 

Well than whats the a-spec???

 

a-spec is only available in canada, just a bunch of add-on's and different rims on a type s.

The "Premium" package is what Acura used to offer on their cars before they started including everything.

Eg; The old CL had a 2.3 base model and if you added the premium package, you would get additional options, like heated seats and I think a power passenger seat, etc.
