Dang, am I that old at 30? I think I was spending all my money on women when I was in my early 20s. ..too much to have a nice car, anyway.
ngcreese, mind if I ask where you work? I'm in the semiconductor industry.
Are the numbers the mags put out based on TL, or TLS? I know I mostly see older (45+) in the TL around here.
Also, how many women drive a TLS?

SimTypeS, I work at IBM's Poughkeepsie site in z900 (s390) IO Subsystem design (those of you heavy into IT datacenters should know this machine). Currently responsible for clocking and LBIST design on one of our switch chips. Pretty cool, high speed, stuff up in the GHz range...
I was an intern in IT at HSBC's datacenter in Buffalo for about 6 months -- that's where I learned about the z900 (s390)... go figure.
BTW, I know what you mean about the women...
I got out of that quick and stuck to my hobbies...
Cars, Mountain Bikes, and Home Theater Equipment, Women (when they're a'ight)...
Life's simpler that way...![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I dunno, it might have something to do with the fact that as technical people, we love to analyse and tweak stuff.
If we do the math a TLS with a small suspension tweak can easily trounce it's direct competition (is300 and 330i) in acceleration (stock), space (by design), and handling (via tweak), etc.
For less money than the competition...
It seems reasonable how things work out... :p

Age
I'm 53, so I guess I sway the demographics way in the other direction. I am an independent software developer. But I act like I'm 24...
My TLS is WDP and I've put 2,000 miles on it since I got it two weeks ago...like the guy who drives from LA to SF for lunch.
As for age, it seems to me like their CL/TL ad campaign is targeting the wrong market, with the right result.

I'm 32, in the IT field (Enterprise Application Architect), have two kids (1 and 4) and am a Republican.
(I noticed people keep adding personal info with each response, so I'm just upping the ante).

Turning 31 later this year...
... and I'm a software developer at a big financial company.
This is my 3rd car and the 1st car that I really want!
Even though I'm not the primary driver, I'm very happy with it!

The Good Old Days...
I remember when I was in my 20's and I knew everything. Now I am 37 and I know nothing...
I am in the gasoline, convenience store and car wash business.
My TL-S is cleaner than yours...
