I am going to get my new 2003 TL tinted and I am contemplating getting the moon roof tinted. I haven't experienced a problem with the sun coming through the moon roof and bothering me and if it's beating down too hot in the summer I can simply close the shade. Since it already has a little tint on it, I'm not sure if it's something I want to do right now. What are some of your experiences/suggestions?

there is no reason. i keep the sunshade shut all the time anyway.

Yeah its a waste of money. Its gotta be a real nice day outside for me to open the shade. The sun glares off of the navi screen its annoying

isnt the moon roof already tinted with 20% atleast mine came with some tint so i figured it was factory

It does come with a factory tint, yes. I was leaning toward no because of that reason. After reading this I don't think I am going to get it. I do plan on using the moon roof once summer hits though. I'm actually kinda surprised that some of you either don't use it or don't want it? Now you have me curious as to why?

i love my sunroof but paying for a tint is useless. it has a visor and it is already factory tinted. just enjoy it!

If i can find a headliner with out being molded for one it would be gone tomorrow!

I wonder if the accord headliner would work

I usually keep the shade open to let light in from the top.. so my window tint appears a bit lighter.

But if you wanna tint it more, go for it. Doesnt hurt, even though no one will really notice.

I tinted mine on my o4 TL.......5% on the moonroof. On those 100 degrees summer days.......it's good to have the shade pull back with the moon roof tinted so it will decrease the intensity of the heat in the interior. Just my

If you try that anytime soon let me know! I wish I had thought of that a few months ago. My friend totalled his 02 Accord and it had roughly the same if not exact same color headliner as mine. I should have ripped it out and tried it

If you live where the sun beats down until the tar melts on the roof
You may enjoy the extra layer of protection with tint on the moonroof.

I go the extra step of installing a piece of Reflectex betwen the moonroof and the shade, keeps some of the cold out now! And come summer it will keep more heat out.

WHY? ... moonroof is an added luxury... not like u will get more headroom withotu the roof considering the shape of the chassis is designed that way.. so i'm confused here...

i could be wrong so please let me know exactly why u want to get rid of something nice like that.. and knowing u.. i will change the shape of the car if u wanted too hehehe so i would love to know how u will add extra head room...

p.s: ever thought about moving the backmore and getting rid of the stock sub? ... that would give some killer rear seat room!
