I am thinking about possibly changing up my entire intake setup. I have a 99 TL-P so I wanted to see what exactly I'll need to make this happen.

This is what I think I need, please let me know if I'm missing anything.

1. CL-S or TL-S Lower Runners
2. CL-S or TL-S Thottle Body
3. CL-S or TL-S Intake Manifold or P2R Power Plenums
4. RPM switch for Type S IM (would I need if I had the Power Plenums?)
5. gaskets
6. new CAI

 

I think you have it covered, I think you would need the switch. The IM plate gives a nice boost that you can feel and hear as you are going up thru the rpm's.

 

You need the rpm switch to control mirc on the type s manifold. With or without the p2r parts. Check the diy section.

get the 09tl shawd intake manifold.

 

I think you need the fuel rails as well on the 99. I know nsxnext did the swap. Search for his and see

 

 

What's the deal with that one? Is it a direct bolt-on? How much are they?

 

its a bolt on. all u need is a p2r adapter. search for it on the 2nd gen cl side. two ppl are running it on their cl's

 

Reading NSXNEXT's old thread it seems I'd also need new fuel rails and injectors. Starting to sound like this project would cost more than it's worth. I think I'll just stay tuned for the next used CT SC that gets listed for sale.
