What car would I trade my TL for?
Don't have a TL, plan to get one.
Just throwing it out to hear what people have to say.
What car would you love to trade/exchange your TL for?
Let's hear it
(Could be you wouldn't trade it for anything, which is great!)

When you say trade do you mean a fair trade so that you won't have to pay much for the car you are interested (i.e. less than 10k)?
There are plenty of cars though with equal luxury and performance to a TL will have much higher mileage.

Basically I'm trying to determine, if you had to go back, what other car (similar class) would you buy instead (or maybe you wouldn't buy anything other than the TL).
So A4/A6, G35, 330, etc. etc.

If it's at the NY auto show in april, and i get to check it out and really like it that much more, i could always pick up something from leasetrader for a few months until the '04 is out.

id go SUV and trad it for the new 4runner
if i could make my puechase all over again,
or buy the tsx if i wanted sedan,
orid buy the new accord to save some cash
other than that, nothing, with exception MAYBE the audi A41.8t quatto, but thats it.
bimmer, overpriced, and i cant afford if something breaks,
g35, interior bits are cheper than TL, after test driving it and got into my car, i really felt like i moved up a class,
is300, considered it before i bought my car, but its not all that, id pick the A4 over it anyday
es300...... are you kidding me? first, it ridea like a camry, second, if oyu fully load it up like a TL its like almost 40g
I35...... i dont know, cas i test drove the i30 and it was SLOW.....

Audi 1.8T quattro - nice finish, didn't enjoy the ride much. I know it can be chipped, but with warranty issues, don't wanna bother (and even chipped it isn't all that powerful).
BMW- too expensive
IS300 - liked it, not everyone likes the interior but I did. However, as my only car which I MUST be able to drive in all types of weather, may not be practical (especially with the way this winter has been in Northern NJ).
TSX - maybe, have to see what it's like.

ohh I seen the interior on the TSX, love is soooooo much. But the car seems too small for me even tho its a 4 door. Have to see it in real life to see how I feel. LOL if I fall in love with it....might regret getting my 350Z.

Nah screw trucks. For the price, the TL is one awsome ride. The G35 coupe or Lancer Evo are the only cars I would consider trading for.
The new A4s are nice but from what I've heard they're too slow.
BMWs are nice but they get really pricy. The IS300 is very sporty but its getting dated, they have a new model coming out soon.
Of course this is the Acura TL forums so you shouldn't expect Un-Biased opinions!

Talking about trucks, have you driven a Ford Lightening? Not too shabby either.

G35? Hmm...it's a Nissan
C class is too small
CL600? If you have the cash, go for it.
Lottery........buy anything you want and get me a new STi
I would say the new E class because it's just the right size and it's one of my favorite.

I love my '99 TL Navi....but I've been following the Mazda RX-8 development for a couple years (was know as the "Evolve"...).....looks like a fun car, but I'd still wait at least a year after the first one roll out in a couple months...I think there will be more "options" coming.....the gas mileage concerns me a bit though.... (RX8forum.com) ....loved my 626 too

what do you think of the Mazda 6.....I like the look but never really researched the car yet. Mazda are nice but the dealer I went to treated me like sht, might have ended up with a loaded 626 back in 99. I'm glad the dealer sucked cuz I might not be a driving my baby '99TL' today.

If you really twisted my arm, I'd trade for an Infiniti FX45. I don't like SUVs ordinarily, but this one is awesomely fast.
Otherwise, you'd have to pry my cold, dead hands off my TL's steering wheel.

I often wonder what is the definition of class of car for TL forum.
The mazda 6 has much better chassis dynamic than the TL. Handling is also better than TL. Except for the TL-S engine output and excellent navi, the TL is dated compare to mazda 6.
As far as BMW as overpriced?? I suggest you guys go take one on the highway for a spin. You get what you pay for. brake, chassis dynamic, powertrain. 3 things that are most important in the car, the TL can't come close to BMW.

umm I just test drove a 330xi.....Great smooth handling and everything, audio system was so much better then the bose system in the TL-S and the full service that cover stuff that normal wear and tear (better then our warrenty). BUT....with all the options I put in to match the TL-S.....it went to 45k.....just not willing to pay 10k more.....thats why most people think its overpriced and I think our TL are great on the highway.....why can't it come close to the BMW price for price?

I Think anyone who currently owns a TL 99 and up......Absolutely has to wait to see what the 04's will look like......I just HOPE they do a SPECTACULAR job with this one.
I think in second place would be a G35, BUT I did the online 'build your own' and with everything I wanted it came out to be around $42K....Which is way tooooo much. Also I felt as if the back seats had ZERO legroom.

This thread is really ironic considering the anguish I've been suffering the past week.
My 2000 TL is due back next week off of it's lease and I thought I made the right decision by buying it out. The buyout is 19k.
So my next thoughts were what else could I buy for 19k, or even for a few extra bucks more. I was struggling real hard with these choices...
1) 1999 BMW 528i
2) 1998 Benz E-320
3) lease another 2003 TL-S
After much tossing and turning, I decided to head back to the local Acura dealer and got a real sweet deal on an 03 TL-S/navi

so far all i hear about is the +20 HP (typeS) and DVD-Audio, both of which, for me, aren't worth waiting for. I'm sure there'll be more, but a 2-3K price increase is substantial.
