Hi Everyone I would like some feedback!I'm really stumped on what to buy! Should I get a K&N or a Short Ram Intake?? What is everyones suggestion? Will I get more noise from the Short Ram, How's the performance between the 2? I'm not looking to do much but I can really use some help in deciding! Thanks!

If you are going to get an intake and want little noise get the Icebow. Otherwise get the K&N filter. No noticable power gain but ppl report slightly higer gas mileage.

Even though it's not one of your choices I'd say to get a Cold Air intake.
K&N filter won't do too much for you since it's just a filter replacement... 1 maybe 2hp tops. Short-Ram intake will get you about 6-7 while a cold air will get you about 7-8. Icebox closer to 10.
A cold-air intake is also quieter then the short-ram. I think it's b/c the whole short ram assembly sits in the engine bay whereas a CAI is longer and some of the assembly sits outside the engine bay.. thus, less resonance under the hood.
If you're looking for performance and quietness... the Comptech Icebox is the way to go. Personally I love the intake sound... especially at VTEC... so I went with a CAI.

Three Wheelin'
I have my intake resonator removed+K&N filter. When I compared with ice box, my setup is actually louder than Icebox. However, my setup has almost no gain. I'm in it for the sound that it was the least expensive way to do it

If you want a short ram intake, you can email me at sam_suen@csaa.com I am selling my old short ram made by Weapon-R. I can send you photos if you want. I am asking for $45. The reason why I switched to the Icebox was because I needed an intake that has the CARB cerification in order to pass smog in CA. If it wasn't for that, I would've kept the short ram.

I wouldnt suggest a CAI to the average driver for the reasons listed below...
Goodbye to all CAI club members and saying hello to K&N drop-in users!

Would you not consider the icebox instead of CAI?
I currently have the K&N drop in, but was thinking of getting the icebox.

What's the Diffrence between the IceBox/ Short ram?? Do they Look the Same? Also Can a Short Ram suck in the water from under the hood when it rains etc??

the ice box looks like the factory set up but it has the most gains of all the intakes. the short ram wont suck in any water(well unless your hood is under water) the cai is a great choice more power than a short ram. ive driven cai's for about 5-6 years now on all my cars and never have i worried. you would have to drive into ALOT of water (if its that deep youshouldnt be driving into it in the first place deep) and if your concerned get the bypass valve.
my choice would first be the icebox
2nd would be the cai
