went to the track

had my first track expirience today. it was about 90 degrees out. the best time i was able to pull was a 14.6 @ 98mph 2.3 60'. i dont have the slip in front of me but im almost certain those were the times. i was hoping to do a 14.3 but wasnt able to. these are the mods i have...

CT Icebox
CT catback
XS headers
P2R spacer
Outlaw manifold spacer
UR pulley

my times seem kinda high for the mods i have. i brake torqued between 1500-2000 RPM. took out the spare and jack. I weigh about 160lbs.

oh yea my car also has a 142k miles

anyone have any advice?

my 02 tls ran 14.9 with just the intake resonator removed and i think no mid muffler and drop in k&n filter. with the same mods and a 65 shot dry i ran 14.3, peeling out most of first and some second on the stock michelins

What was the weather when you ran? You are in the 14's so its not bad. More runs and gate shifting could improve your times.

Please dont even mind that clown with the "PINK STICKER ON HIS REAR WINDOW" when he knows our 2nd GENs would gobble that TSX up in a heartbeat........I think 14'Zz is pretty fair for our cars....-its Luxary and still it could run you DOWN,

Why is it better to gate shift then using tiptronic? Or does it not matter?

Your trap speed seems to be right but I think you might want to work on the launch? get it down to something like 2.1-2.2 and u will see mid 14's i guess.

No neutral drop. That's askin for a blown tranny. Brake torquing at about 1500rpm. As for someone elses posting as to which is better gate shifting or triptronic. Gate shifting because u can hold 1st gear longer.
