well looks like my tranny is going out

i was leaving a store today i backed out of the parking spot and put it in drive. started to drive forward and it felt like i was in 3rd gear. D5,TCS,CEL. all came on. i put it in reverse and backed into another spot and turned it off and turned it back on. CEL stayed on and all others went off. drove to my parents checked all my fluids all good. and then drove to my place no issues. has anyone else had there tranny act like that.

is the class action lawsuit 9,000 mile or 9 months extra been approved yet. i think i just went over my 7 years. by like a week or two. my car only has 46,000 miles on it.

Yeah its approved acura should cover you for a new tranny. Even if you only over by like 2 weeks I think they would still give you a break on it. Good luck with the new tranny.

that sucks bro. i had mines just go out on me last week thursday. its in the shop as we speek. but mines was weird. it felt just like the tranny was slipping and was not going. plus it starts to slip then grip all of a sudden and feels like the trans just went into shock. but the thing is nothing of mines went on. no cel or D5. just one time the TCS blinked cause it almost went dead stop from 40mph. but i wish you the best bro. hopefully this new updated trans will last a little longer.

The new trans replacements are holding up well and only recent post of a few probs- not sure what is really wrong with those cars yet

Some fail very quietly with small signs only someone looking for would notice.

Other go into 2nd gear on the freeway and the next day act perfect.

Enjoy the new trans- they help the car run way better

its still under warrentee and they are checking it out right now. i have a rental right now so i can go to sleep i just dropped it off and they call when they find out what is wrong.

im in a 07 nissan altima. completly keyless. push button. and im liking the 6 speed auto. but i still wish it was manual. and it shifts so much faster than my TL. wow you put it in sport shift and tap it and it goes. also a neat feature if you have it in sport shift and say your in 6th gear and press the pedal to the floor it will shift down to the lowest gear for instant acceleration. weeee. down fall its only a 2.5 S 175 HP. alittle drop from my TL-P with headers and intake.

well i got a call from the acura dealership and it turns out that its apparently not covered under warrenty but they are going to try to do a good will fix.

i have the paper in my car with what the code was. i think its one of the solenoids. the code was 1678 or 1687 something like that. i will know more tommorrow when i return the Altima and pick up my TL. im not paying for a damn rental plus a 103 dollar inspection fee. when i already told them what the issue and the code was.
