Weird noise from speakers
While I was listening to a cd in my TLS I heard this strange noise coming from my speakers from time to time. It's hard to describe what it sounds like.... maybe a "fluttering" or "shuddering" sound?? Then when I got a call on my cell phone, the noise became louder and more pronounced. Is the noise caused by radio frequency interference? Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? Just to let you know, I have the 2003 Type-S with navi and onstar.
Thanks.
Thanks.
There is no way of fixing it unless you get a different cellphone. It only occurs when the phone rings. Happens to me too, I like it because when I'm blasting my CD, the only way of hearing my cellphone ring is when I hear the static-like sounds

all speakers
When I'm on a cell call and I put my phone up to my stereo speakers I get interference so I think it's a cell phone/speaker issue (not a tech though so I'm not sure of the technical reason). I've found when I use my cell phone and have it cradled in the driver's door armrest I don't get any interference. However, when I have the phone resting below the center counsel in that little open storage area I get a lot of interference when listening to the radio and on the phone...
Cell Phone Noise
When I keep my V60 or any other cell phone for that matter in the little tray under the radio I always get a clicking type of noise when the phone switches from cell to cell. All I've got to do is to move it to the door tray or put it on the seat if it's not occupied. This happens with any cell phone I've tried.
I agree with everyone here ... I'm 99% sure it's cell phone related. That same "morse code" sound comes through my computer speakers at work. I believe it's not just YOUR phone that might be causing the strange noise, but interference from other phones or even cell stations, and it gets picked up and played through your stereo speakers. For what it's worth, I have a Nokia cell phone (forget the model number but it's the tiny one with the sliding plate that covers the keys), with a subscription to Cingular. Strangely enough, I don't necessarily hear the sounds when -my- phone rings, so I'm guessing when other phones are ringing, or probably in use, and the stereo equipment is sensitive enough to pick it up.

It's the cell phone. I happens when it sends out a signal. I stuck my Nokia 8260 under the radio when we left the dealership and it happend within 2 blocks. I thought I had a defective radio until I figured it out. I keep my phone in the cupholder or in it's hands free home to the left of my steering wheel and don't get any interference.
