weird noise possibly under timing belt cover with video

I have a couple weird noises under the hood of my tl-s, most of them but one is in the video

one of the noises(most noticeable) is a rubbing/scratching noise, sounds like under the timing belt cover, possibly the t-belt rubbing.

second one is a growling/ roaring noise which could be a belt tensioner

third one which wasnt in this video cause it is intermittent is a knocking sounding noise that is most noticed between idle and 1500 rpms after that it sounds normal. could this possibly be a timing belt tensioner going bad?

car has 193k and tensioners was never replaced, only t-belt at 106k

Welcome 02tlnate !!!
While it's possible that the T-belt and/or tensioner is the source of the noise......
be sure to eliminate the Alternator-Compressor drive belt's auto-tensioner. This is a common problem as the car ages and can make the noises which you described. Try spraying some WD40 into the tensioner's bearing to see if the sound subsides. If it becomes quieter, that's an easy fix to replace......better then the T-belt stuff having issues. But, it appears as though the car's due for the T-belt servicing soon. Good luck !!!

this is what happens when people or shop don't replace ALL the idler pullies and tensioners at the tbelt job
you did well to get nearly 200 out of the setup~

but- lets hope = the ac belt tensioner is a well known failure and under 100$ part
take a mechanics stethoscope or long screwdriver and place tip on non moving part of that tensioners base- gravel sounds are bad

Thanks for the welcome and replies! I used the wd-40 you mentioned and it quited down a noticeable amount, and I do know that the belt job was done at the local acura dealer.

It's simply the process of elimination. The outer drive belt's tensioner is a common problem and a good place to start. If the noises continue after replacing the tensioner and belt, then ya know that it's something else.

If you're considering doing the T-belt servicing soon, just wait and do all the stuff at the same time. You can purchase the "Aisin" T-belt and components for about $200 @ Rockauto. Figure another $200 for installation.

go ask the dealer for the service history on your car
They will know what parts were replaced with the timing belt job
