I've been following this forum since April 2001--when I bought my 02 Type-S. I love the car, I got about 18000 miles on it. No major performance mods and the transmission is hanging in there. But when I saw this I knew I had to post this new V8 IS300 here because I really believe Acura is following these forums and I appreciate the hard work that went into to get the 100000 mile warranty on the trannies. Well, you can start modding your car and it will be faster.... then add the S/C and you'll be all set.

BTW, don't sweat the V8 IS300.... it's been a rumor for the last year and half now. Last I heard... the guys at is300.net already got confirmation abuot the '03 model and there's no V8 in sight... in fact.. there's only a few changes....

 

So why IS 430 bothers you so much? M3/M5 have been aroung for years and they faster than TL-S. GS 430 is faster than TL-S. So what? TL-S is plenty fast for the money and IMHO needs stronger tranny much more that more HP.
