A way to adjust headlights?
I recently had the left (passenger side) headlight replaced on my '99 due to a minor accident. The new light shines lower than the right one which was not affected. I found out for myself how to adjust the the beam right and left, but I cannot figure out how to bring the beam up. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I'd like to do it myself if possible to save me a hassle.
i too been trying to figure that out. i noticed that my left headlights are considerablly brighter than my right ones. they are bright to the point of being as bright as the BMWs except with the bluish tint. i need or want to make my right ones just as bright
If you look at the H/L on top... there is a slot with a gear where you can put screw driver to adjust the height of H/L beam....
If you raise up...you're gonna have to turn it counter-clock wise...
Also, if you look at the corner...(above the signal lamp) there is 1 more slot..which you can adjust the beam left or right.....

Oh!!!!! one more thing......
Try not to turn it too much!!!!!!!!!
The height of the beam is controlled by bolt & clip inside of H/L
If you screw or un-screw it too much.....the clip might pop-out from bolts... then you're screw big time.......

Songoku is correct... Also, when lining up the headlight, make sure you are on level ground and the car is aimed at a wall so you can match the left side to right.. One thing I noticed is the right side headlight to be a smidge higher than the left side, due to the car to be left hand drive. It's set like that to illuminate the side of the road better. On a right hand drive car, the left side is a drop higher for the same reasons..
