Mugen upper strut bar

I was at a local performance shop here in Ft. Lauderdale today and saw the tightest strut bar...an authentic JDM chrome Mugen front upper strut bar!! This thing is so thick and solid, but expensive...$300, I guess u get what u pay for. Too rich for my blood...chrome Neuspeed strut bar for me...$148 shipped and best of all it's from www.AutoCarParts.com!

Well they don't for the TL, but they do for the 98-02 Accord and that will fit our cars...I checked with the installer at the shop.

I don't think Mugen has a strut bar for the 98-02 Accord, at least not at the US distributor's website (Kingsmotorsport.com).

Like I said before it was a JDM product...I guess for the Japanese version of the Accord...All I know is it was a real Mugen and the guy said he has installed a few on other TLs and Accords 98 and up.

Tell me about it...the entire time I was waiting for my GC's to be installed...I was trying to rationalize spending that much on a strut bar, cuz I loved it so much...it even had the Mugen emblem welded on the front, sooo sweet...Like I said too rich for my blood, I purchased a Neuspeed chrome upper strut bar from ACP last night...I'll post pics when I get it and install it...should match nicely with my chrome CAI and chrome Mugen oil cap.

I don't have any serial number or pics, but you can check it out at www.kingmotorsports.com ....but I don't think they offer the JDM strut bar for the Accord/TL.

Only issue I can think why it isn't for sale is the JDM accord's has 4 cylinders. Maybe it won't fit with a V-6. Sounds like a call to Japan for me.

That is entirely possible, but isn't the actual frame and engine compartment, besides the engine, the same...I mean the distance from one side to the other where the bar is actually mounted. The guy said he had installed them before on 98 and up Accords, but then again he never specified whether they were 4 or 6 cylinders...Well I already ordered the Neuspeed strut bar, so it really does'nt matter to me...but if someone finds out for sure let us all know for future reference.

Thats cool, I stay over at Coral Ridge and Sawgrass area...just moved like a month ago from Plantation...anywayz, I went to Autotrix...They just moved to Pembroke Pines(Flamingo and a little south of Griffin). I have gotten my TL and previous GS-R dropped there. There installer is Honda certified, and really is good at what he does. Maybe we can meet up on the weekend or something.

I agree. I am almost positive mugen does not have a strut bar that would work on our TL

How much did they charge for the coilovers with install? Why those instead of springs?

I bought the Ground Control coilovers from NSX4DR brand new for $300 shipped, Autotrix only charged me $135 for the install.I got the coilovers, cuz I already had H&R sport springs and was not satisfied with the drop. I also want to be able to adjust the drop whenever I want. The GC use Eibach springs and perform very well...I'm not even sure if I still want to get adjustable shocks, cuz there is really very little bounce as is.

Verified from Japan today the Mugen bar won't fit the inspires. There is one made by Cusco. They have two types available.
They are a pretty good suspension tuner so I bet it is good quality.
