warranty question

hey
i have a 2002 3.2 tl-p and i bought it at ford and have 3 month/4000 miles warranty but i was wondering if i still would have acura warranty even though i didnt buy it from acura.
is there any other better website than carfax to check my car history?

The Acura warranty is for the car no matter who owns it or where you bought it

Yes
go to www.acura.com click on owner link
register your car by VIN number- it knows all the warranty history and current open warranties like the extended transmission and others
Also CAll 1-800-382-2238 x5 and register there- tell them you just bought car and are there any outstanding issues?
Welcome to the Acura nuts forum!

your 02 has a FACTORY 7 year 109k miles tranmission extended warranty
there is also an extended warranty on the seat belts and an airbag sensor

call Acura at the 800 # for detail on these items and if they go bad- into the dealer you go
The 3 month warranty from seller is standard used car policy
and covers whatever is says and is thru them- not Acura

The rest of the factory warranty is already used up except as mentioned above

As a possible exception, cars with salvage titles don't have warranty coverage.

Good point Bob
I hadnt thought of that since it was a real car dealer- and one HOPES they wouldnt try that- it has happened- but...

A call to Acura Care gives the absolute answer as its the warranty computer

Carfax sucks for real info- it ONLY knows what its told by dealer for normal services and any insurance company that pay claims on accidents on it

BETTER than that- the Acura Customer Care is the actual warranty center for Acura and knows anything they paid for on your car.

What more info could you want- short of finding where it was serviced to see what oil they used
Plus Acura can tell you if you car is eligible for some free repairs- some 02s get a free water pump due to pulley misalignment!

extension 5 gets you a human on the phone
Have your VIN number ready- thats the only way they look up stuff
and register on acura.com owner link- different system but also knows about your car
