Talking Want to get a 02 TL 3.2 Type S

Hey folks, i hope im not being redundant but I am in the market for a new car and am looking at the Acura TL 3.2 Type-S 2002 as my new toy.

I do not want to spend more then 15k on it (give or take a bit) so it seems im looking at a car with at least 60-70k miles on it.

What I would like to know is what you guys think of this car as my daily warrior for the next 3-5 years? I drive about 20,000 miles a year, so will the car survive me? Will the engine make it close to 200,000 miles on it without major repair work?

Also, how is 2002 as a year in general for the TL? Any major problems I should watch for?

Also, for those in the colder state like I am here in NYC, how does the car handle in snow conditions as I do tend to travel in even some of the worst snow moments.

I really look forward to your help folks and thank you in advance.

i will most likely be selling my 2002 TL-S within the next 60days if your interested, has 128k on the clock, just drove it from NY to LA, no issues, runs like a champ, car weighed 4200lbs and i was getting 28-32mpg ranging from the cruise being set from 70-90mph.

I have a 3.2 TL-S and I love the car. So far no major problems except for the tranny just went out on me. If you change fluids at suggested intervals I could see the engine lasting 200k no problem. The tranny on the other hand . I have not driven the car in snow as we don't get much snow up here but I can tell you the VSA has saved my butt a few times in the rain. And the car handles pretty good anyhow. Biggest concern by far is the tranny. The one black spot on an otherwise awesome car!

I love my TL TYpe S as well but I'm moving to bigger and better.

Great car runs fine, Tranny shouldn't be a problem most cars are under warranty until 100k miles, for Canada is 170,000 KM.

02, TL-S, Silver, 77,000 miles.
Great Car. Have had the tranny go out once (@ 53,000 miles), and replaced with no hassles from the local Acura dealer. Otherwise, things are in great shape, good performance, handling and gives me 24-25 mpg in mixed driving.
