Call me rice or not, but i wanna do that VTEC light mod on my 99TL and i got a couple of questions about that.

first:
There are like 3-4 big connectors going to the ECU, one of them is blue. Which connector has the wire i need? And can i unplug the connector and plug it back in without damaging anything?

second:
i know i gotta look for a green wire with a yellow stripe. but the green wire i found has a ORANGE stripe on it.. and i read some post where someone said there were 2 green wires with a yellow stripe.. which one is it?

third:
help me, im stuck!!!


btw, dont tell me to use the SEARCH function.. i used it already but never really found the info i needed.

I was going to do the VTEC light... but I cant locate the ECU... I heard its under the glvoe box... and I was thinking its that little round box with a couple thick wires coming out of it. i'd love to see some pix to go along with this. someone at another acura site had pix to go along with their description of changing the A/C Filters..... that worked great! did it today no problem!

If i am right, the ECU is located under the "carpet" on the passenger side under the glove box on the left. You will see like 4 connectors and like 50wires going into that box.

-fine, yea u have to pull back the carpet on tha passenger side in the front left corner.
-you will find three harnesses with lots of wires coming out of each one.
-im almost positive that its the middle harness, its grey and that has the GREEN WIRE WITH YELLOW STRIPE, guaranteed.
-tap your power line into that and then just put ur ground for your light under the metal screw right below the harnesses.

I couldnt get it today i guess im gonna try again tomorrow and see...

but damn there are A LOT of wires going to the harness and how can u find ONE wire there... and how can u tap in it?! there's no space to work and ****. i also tried to locate the wire near the oil filter with no success.
