VSA, ! & ABS Lights On

So a few weeks back we got a little snow here in OR. While I was out and about, I turned right onto a pretty busy highway and had to get on the gas a bit..prob more than necessary cuz I wanted to see how the TL handles itself on a little snow, but nothing too crazy. I lost some traction when I got on to the highway and had the ! light blink at me a few times then got off the gas til I got traction. But then !, VSA & ABS all came on. However, they turned off after I turned the car off when I got to my destination, and didn't come on again. Recently however, I've been getting this problem more often. Always when I break the tires loose, which isn't very hard since I'm running bald tires til spring when I'll put my new rims on, but they will always turn off after turning the car off. I initially thought I may have splashed some water onto a WSS and it didn't like it too much, but does anyone else have any ideas as to what it may be and why it's more frequent?

Haven't tried to get any codes read when the lights are on but I don't think the Zone or whoever it may be reads VSA codes. Am I mistaken?

Any insight is appreciated...

I had problems with the !, VSA, and ABS lights come on for awhile till i got it fixed last week or so. My problem was that my front driver wheels speed sensor was kinda torn a bit and was loosing connection. I just cut that wire, and ran some speaker wires in between them to get a better connection. After i turned the car on and took it for a drive, the lights went off right away and never came back.

I don't know if one of your wheel speed sensor is out, but it could be as it happened to me. When it does come on, have the codes read at an autoparts store.

I figured it was just gonna be something with a WSS (wheel speed sensor). Just gotta find some time to get under there and check everything out. I'm hoping to just have a loose connection or maybe an inexpensive part fix. From what I've been experiencing, I have a pretty good feeling it's gonna be the right front WSS since it happens more frequently in right hand turns where I lose some traction. Thanks for the help guys!

Haven't been able to find a place in OR that can read VSA codes and they don't show up on an OBD II hand-held scanner...all the places I've been to can only read engine DTCs. Anyone know of a place that can? Need to figure out which one it is before I go buying stuff...

a specialized brake shop will have the needed tool to read ABS codes and reset everything with them
Look in the phone book yellow pages
