Angry Viper install gone wrong!!!! VSA/ ! lights on

I have a 2003 Acura TL type S and Just had a Viper 5901 alarm/ remote start system with a Xpresskit PKALL bypass module installed. Now my VSA and traction control lights are stay on. as soon as I start the car they come on and stay on. The installer seems clueless on how to fix it and I have to take it back to him on tuesday.

Everything with the alarm/ remote start works. But i just dont have traction control. Can ANYBODY give me some input to what he couldve did to make those lights come on.

Do you know where these buttons are? the only button I know of is the one that turns traction control off. after the installation that button does nothing.

On the left side of the dash, by the roof controls.
Try pushing the vsa button and see if the "!" light turns off in the gauge cluster. Also, have the installer go back and make sure all wires are connected, and they are wired properly.

Yeah that button is not doing anything right now. I just want to know if anyone know the wiring well enough to know what the installer couldve done to make these light come on

I really dont think its the alarm causing this issue. but I do think the installer messed with a wire that has something to do with the VSA/tracking control

tell him to get the code read so he can just go from there instead of blindly trying to fix that he obviously caused because if it wasnt on before the install and now its on then its something he did.

VSA light on means theres a VSA code. Snap On scanners might be able to pull the code, im not too sure because ive never had just a VSA light on but if no one else can check it at a private shop it will have to go to the dealer and then they can pull the code for it.

He had a guy from a shop across the street run a test. i forgot the code but it was pointing at the accelerator sensor that is located under the panel(marble) to the left of gear shifter.

I love to have the code for the DTC 26: Lateral Acceleration Sensor. But do you have any idea where I can point the installer to a certain wire or wire harness that deals with the vsa?

I tried PMing you but the message would go.

DTC 26: Lateral Acceleration Sensor

1. Clear the DTC.

2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II) again.

3. Test-drive the vehicle around a number of right and left hand corners.

4. Verify the DTC.

Is DTC 64 indicated? YES - Do the appropriate troubleshooting for DTC 64.n

NO - Go to step 5.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

6. Check for continuity between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 3 and body ground.

Is there continuity? YES - Go to step 7.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the VSA control unit and the lateral acceleration sensor.n

7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

8. Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Repair open in the wire between the VSA control unit and the lateral acceleration sensor.n

9. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

10. Disconnect VSA control unit connector C (26P) and the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector.

11. Start the engine.

12. Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there 1 V or more? YES - Repair short to power in the wire between the VSA control unit and the lateral sensor.n

NO - Go to step 13.

13. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

14. Check for continuity between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there continuity? YES - Repair short to body ground in the wire between the VSA control unit and the lateral acceleration sensor.n

NO - Go to step 15.

15. Connect VSA control unit connector C (26P) and the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector.

16. Do the lateral acceleration sensor inspection.

Is it OK? YES - Go to step 17.

NO - Replace the lateral acceleration sensor.

17. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

18. Measure the voltage between VSA control unit connector C (26P) terminal No. 7 and body ground.

Is there about 2.5 V? YES - Check for loose VSA control unit connectors. If necessary, substitute a known-good VSA control unit, and recheck.n

NO - Repair open in the wire between the VSA control unit and the lateral acceleration sensor.n

NOTE:

Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive.

Do not use an impact wrench.

For an acurate reading, the vehicle must be level.

Remove the center console panel.

Remove the lateral acceleration sensor (A) from the left lower side with the connector connected.

Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

Measure the voltage between the lateral acceleration sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground.

When the connector side is level, the voltage is about 2.5 V.

When the connector side is facing up, the voltage is about 3.5 V.

When the connector side is facing down, the voltage is about 1.5 V.

If the voltage is not as specified, replace the lateral acceleration sensor.

After replacing the lateral acceleration sensor, do the neutral position memorization.
