Valentine One Install
I tried to be unique, and seeing what Nickpoore had done inspired me. I still have to get the remote audio adaptor so I can reach the volume control, but it is sweet for right now.
This is the view of the detector from the driver's seat. It is in pretty much the same place as Nickpoore's, but I completely hid the rear laser detector, because it doesn't really concern me. If I get a laser reading, I've got a ticket, so I'll let the blue lights warn me.

Becuase I can't see the display too well, I got the remote display. I wanted to mount it under the not-ashtray, but when I was going through the preliminary design phase, found that it was cumbersome to look at. Most of the Valentine's warnigs are visual, so I would have to constantly take my eyes off the road. Didn't want to do that.
A lot of people like mounting it on the steering column, be I decided that was too visible as a black object on the steering column. So I put it somewhere I have never seen it put before.
It is the little black box under the white sticker in the windshield. I think it is perfect there. I can see all of the warnigns easily and it does not make its presence known as overtly as on top of the steering wheel. And what's more, there is absolutely no adhesive involved. The widhshield pushes it down on the dashboard, and the cord keeps it perfectly in place.
Just wanted to share what I think is a novel idea.

The sticker is my Weyerhaueser emplyoee sticker, neither TN or SC have inspection stickers, so I'm clean on that. The window is also WAY too dirty to let light through, I consider that an extra layer of security.

There isn't too much laser used in the south, or at least where I go. So, I figure that on the off chance that I go somewhere laser is used, and get caught, I won't really need the warning, I'll just get the ticket. And that will suck. I got the V1 because of its awesome radar detection and arrows, the laser in the front is just a bonus to me.
