I will tell you, I have the Accord V6 (1998), key fob, that looks like the pre 2002 TLs key fob, and I also have the silv er key fob to my 2002 TL and let me tell you, the new silver key fobs are cheaper and scratch easily. My Accords key fob is 4 years old and looks newer than my TL fob that is 8 months old. Yes the silver fobs look cool, but they are easily damaged.

My sis's EL key FOB is exactly like the Type-S and there are some major scratches on it, while my '99 fob is still looking new. I don't plan to change it neither

Appreciate all the feedback...I would rather stick with durability rather than a cheapass looking FOB that's going get all ugly in a matter of weeks. Later

Additional Coating
Has anyone attempted putting an additional coating on the fob? Tape, clear coat, etc.? I got a loaner RSX with 5K miles. It's fob was scratched.
