what's the difference in color between Philips and Osram?

 

There isn't really difference as far as beam color. Almost same!!!

I believe those are same. They both made in Germany. In matter in fact, the factory bulbs on 99-02 TL's are from Osram. But Philips are reliable company that sells lots of these products. It's really up to you. I know a couple of guys ordered Osram 6000K D2R's on their cars. (bebber is one of them) So ask him about quality.

One thing is though, if you get the Philips, it'll come in Philips factory box where you'll get custom packed for Osram. I don't know why so don't ask.
(That's what he told me..)

 

Whats the difference between the D2R and D2S?

D2R is made for reflector type headlights
D2S is made for projector type

Our Tls are the reflector type but you can make the D2S's fit by cutting a small notch in them, thats what im doin

P.S.- the D2S is brighter and bluer cuz it lacks a black strip on the bulb found on the D2R's, that why people get them instead. Hope this helps. J

Well I ordered my D2S's through hyperlights yesterday, he emailed me today saying theyd be shipped on FRI. and be at my door by MON. or TUE. :wow: thats so much better than autolamps, soooo glad i switched!

 

Are these bulbs can be fit into the original slots?? And are the 99 TL and 01 TL use the same bulbs?? Thanks!

 

YES!!

If you get D2R bulbs, it's direct swap. 99-03 TL uses same type bulbs(D2R). This is for just up-grade color temperature.
