Uneven Exhaust

The right rear tail pipe appears to be lowewr than the left one on my 03 TLS. Anyone else experience this problem? I am taking to the dealer this week, but just wondering?

Is this problem purely aesthetic? And how much lower is the right tail pipe? 2 inches or more?

Oh, and do our TL-Ss have dual exhaust, or just two tail pipes?

My '01 had and my '03 has the same problem. I don't think the dealer will do anything about it.

15 minute fix

My 2002 had the same problem. Took my dealer (Wayne Acura, NJ) about 15 minutes to alligned the pipes. They also fixed mis-alligned steering wheel air bag cover.

I have seen several TLs around with uneven tail pipes, including mine. I'm not sure how the dealer will fix this, but a radiator hose clamp worked well for me. I think some other people were using zip ties.

I had the same problem with mine... Took it to the dealer during an Oil change and they adjusted it... Then it returned after 3-4days... Mine right was 1.5 lower and 0.75 towards the left (looking from the rear).

Then when I went in for the 25,000kms service ... I mentioned it again... This time they loosened the whole exhaust and adjusted it... Its now 30,000 and its still pretty level...

So. if you are persistent the dealer CAN adjust it for you.

First off - do NOT use a plastic tie, it will just burn off!

Mine was off when I picked my car up, dealer fixed it on the spot.

My pipes are both level, but the right one seems to creep into the middle about an inch or so between services - and each time the dealer fixes the problem to perfection.
