Hmmmm, a blueish/white smoke indicates burning oil!:wow: Black smoke would indicate a poorly running engine...(ie bad mixture etc).

Usually, a car which burns oil at start up indicates oil leaking into the cumbustion chamber while the car sat overnight...a typical location where the oil leaks through...the valve seals in the heads.

I wouldn't expect a new car to do this but you never know. Keep a tab on the oil level and call the dealership. I hope your dealership helps you out and finds out whats up. I know some dealerships would say, "oh, thats normal sir"

Good luck.

I think this is normal when you start the car and the A/C is on and its an extremely warm day. The smoke is usually white and not blue. If it is blue, take it to the dealer.

Just to reiterate: if that smoke is blueish, then you are burning oil. No matter what a dealer claims, you should not be leaking oil. period. Think about it; a slow oil leak is like slow blood loss in the human body. Eventually, you will reach a critical point in which your engine will fail. I would have it checked immediately, and if not possible, maintain proper oil levels by adding oil periodically.

Remeber, steam will come out of the tailpipes as white, and will be wispy and will disappear; oil will burn as a light blue smoke. It will hang around so to speak and you'll be able to smell it. Good luck.
