Lightbulb Under Hood Light

Just bought a new 2002 TL... Car is great... however, seems like Acura forgot to put in a service light under the hood. Would be handy when adding windshield washer fluid when it is dark on the road.

I thought the exact same thing. If I need both my hands when working under the hood, Ill just pull the car up close to my white garage door and turn on the lights. They provide enough reflection to work with.

That'd be a great idea...

Buy a Snake Light. It will wrap around anything (hood lifts?) and you can angle it to light up the parts of your engine you are working on.

But yeah, putting a refigerator type light into the hood would be nice although they probably never will since Acura doesn't really want people to touch the engine.

When I go to the races I want to show my engine but it is always dark. I got it painted blue and looks hella tight. I wanted to put a blue neon uneder it or something. My freind said to mound an cigarete lighter Adapter behind the sturt bar and just get a neon from walmart and put it in there when you need it. Anybody know where you can permenatly mount it?

I wouldn't permanently mount it anywhere under the hood. It gets awfully hot under there. I would make some secure velcro mounts on the hood and stick it on whenever you need it.

I have a flashflight that has really strong magnets on it so that you can put in under the hood or whereever you need light. I dont know where I got it though.

How about a construction hard hat with a flashlight? hehe....like the ones miners use. That would prevent the hood from hitting your head when the hood falls after time.
