im 17, and im currently paying the lease payments on my TL, only 440 (no down) and my dad said that he wud help me out to buy the car off the lease. so i pciedk my mandatory HS internship at Curry, and since i cant get paid, i figured that they wud hook me up with sum discount parts. but now my dad doesnt wanna buy the TL off the lease, so im ****ed. i cant do **** to it. and i dont want to put too much into it if im gonna return it in a year (a year from may).
so wut do u guys think i shud get that i cud always take off?
i cant afford rims, but i wanna get tints or a system or something. cud i get a WW spoiler that wudnt **** up the warranty when returned?

also, ne advice out their that i cud smooth talk my dad into buying such a quality car. i tried to explain to him that i wud imporve the styling and handling, but he just said that i was gonna **** up the engine and make it look puerto rican. LOL. i mean, it is somewhat my decision if i pay the lease payments, and wud chip in like 5Gs when the car is bought off the lease.

Well look at what I'm doing and done so far, and that'll answer your question. All of that has been cleared with my dealership...they could care less as long as it is returned to stock when I turn it in, which i will do when my lease is up.

My dealer told me that virtually the only thing that I could do to the car that would be permanent would be genuine Acura parts or tint the windows. They don't care about the tinting as long as it isn't darker than state laws.

 

aww man. dont the tinting laws in Ny say no front tint. so then i wud have the back three tinted which looks really gay, so then tints r outta the question. man, yd u get a kit and all that ****! wut r u gonna do with it once the lease is up?

so i guess i cud get a OEM spoiler, but not a WW.

WHY? Hell i dunno. Cuz i really wanted to I guess. Most likely I'll end the lease early or possibly stick it out till the end. Once the lease is up and I'm into a new car then I'll be sellin' all my mods. If I can't sell them for much, then no big deal: I didn't buy all this for the investment. Modding a car rarely is a good investment.

Most dealerships are very easy on lease returns. The car doesn't
always have to be stock. It just has to be able to sell for stock
value. So if you dump $5000 dollars into things like a nice stereo
and wheels, they'll still take it back. (ofcourse at your loss). But,
if you spent $5000 in purple paint, stickers, and stripes... obviously
you'll get penalized. All they care about is numbers. How much
it's worth... not how close to stock.
