uhhh this cant be good....

so my car started acting up today, it was shaking during shifts then i parked it for a bit. but this eventually what happened after about ten minutes of driving it again.

<embed src="http://www.supermotors.net/includes/video/player.swf" width="480" height="326" bgcolor="#ffffff" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" flashvars="file=http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/764289/flv/76/764289.flv&image=http://www.supermotors.net/getfile/764289/fst/764289f.jpg&aboutlink=http://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/764289&abouttext=See this video at SuperMotors.net" />

so yea its f-ed, its at the dealership now, they wont be able to look at it until monday. This will be the second transmission replacement but I'm still under warranty thank god, maybe selling this car isnt such a bad idea.

you mean air tools cause i think hand tools be required unless you have really strong hands
but also the trannys are heavy f***ers so you proably have more tools then a normal DIYer like a cherry picker or something

just checking and a lift is super nice because you can stand up and do everything also you can lift it to the right heigth(spelling?) so you don't have to really bend over when you are working on the top side

being an auto tech for the past 4 years i have gottn too lazy to do anything without a lift, It's so NICE, especially anything at home were i don't have air tools and such

what just bolt right up???
if you mean the tranny, then yes and the torque converter even comes preinstalled for acura/honda rebuilt trannies, just a matter of swapping over some old parts/brackets from the old tranny, and then filling it up with HONDA ATF after it is installed

I used a jack, some stands, engine hoist. Loered the trans with the jack and hoist, then pulled the trans out from under the car with the jack. Me and my dad picked it up and moved it. The manual trans is a shit load lighter, one person can pick it up, heck a skinny asian can (sry brian, lol)

my boss and me can pull a manual from a car on the lift (so it's above our head) and set it down onto the ground no problem, then when we finish with the clutch we can just lift it back up and put it back in with no problem (no tranny jack needed)
and when we do honda auto trannys, only time we actually lift it manually is on and off the delivery truck other wise it is dragging it over the floor or using a cherry picker

Update

so i talked to acura today, they determined that the transmission was indeed bad. they have ordered one and it will be there tuesday or wednesday. Looks like my car will be fixed by Thursday at the latest, 100% free of charge.

lets hope this next one lasts more than 27,000 miles.
