Type S in R&T

Anyone see the 4 page article on the 3.2 Type S in the new Road and Track this month. Got good reviews.

Yeah,

Did you happen to catch the TL-S article in the Omish Times?

Their biggest complaint was the overindulgence of ammenities and the lack of a horse-drawn apparatus in front.

Secret life of the "Omish"

Didn't you see the movie, "Witness"? I think that's what they build those big barns for--to hide their real rides.

The TL-S in that article must have been a really weak car. They report 0-60 in 7.0 sec and 1.4 mile of 15.3. That definitely does not reflect how fast the TL-S is.

These are other times from other magazines:

Car and Driver:
0-60: 6.2 sec 1/4 mile in 14.8

Motor Trend:
0-60: 6.3 1/4 mile in 14.7

Auto World:
0-60: 6.2 1/4 mile in 14.8

Something is definitely up with R/T's numbers........I really don't like that their publishing such horrible numbers.

Yeah, the RT car was a dog.

And they posted one of the best times ever printed for the 330!

Interesting that braking distance between TLS and 330 was only a couple of feet. So much for the "our brakes stink" whiners.

Numerous magazines have commented on the middle range-poor braking distances of Honda/Acura. I remeber MT saying the only Honda/Acura car with good brakes is the S2000 .

R&T made another mistake too...

the editor listed VSA as std on both TL & TLS...

R&T is BMW-biased... PERIOD....

Seriously, though... TL brakes are not up to par compare to German makes... but again, you don't get Autobahn in Japan... so, that explains it...

Didn't Honda bulid a scale model of some famous testing ground in Germany? I'm pretty sure the video of the ITR/RSX-R was shot there...

I forgot what it calls, but when I was in Japan I got to drive on it with a Lancer Evo vi. It's something like montigi track or something like that. Oh and japan not having a autobahn isn't a excuse for poor brakes. Just look at Lexus with there GS and IS with the best in class brakes. Oh and I think motortrend and r&t are both biased for BMW. Just look at the issue where the M3 still won over vette z06 when the z06 just whooped all over it! Or how r & t favors the 540i over the GS400. I driven both cars for a long time and hands down the GS400 wins. Whatever the case is I am happy with my tl-s.... I love my baby tl-s......
