Two questions, Alignment Problems and Rims

Hey guys, really loving my time so far on the site.

two questions:
First off, my alignment is bad. It's not the tires and the alignment is "apparently" correct on the comp. but when I drive it pulls to the left, AND the steering shakes when I brake from about 85+ down to 50 or 40. any ideas?

and also, I was looking at those RonJon rims and I really like the black and red integras. has anyone actually bought any ronjons? I've never heard of the company just wondering about them

Answer to your first question: Pulling to the left can be numerous of things. Brake caliper piston probably didn't go back to resting area after braking. Also your right on with the suggestion of alignment. My Acura is in need of an alignment and it pulls to the right. Get the alignment done quickly. It's only $70 at Midas and they do an awesome job.

You also said your steering wheel shakes when you brake. When your steering wheel shakes while braking at high speeds, your rotors are warped (uneven layer). Not a good sign, you need to purchase new rotors and new brake pads for your front end.

Your last question I wouldn't know sorry

But I hope my answers above helped you

dont buy anything yet- inspect everything,, then buy what you need
the above post is correct in what might be wrong, but you need to know for sure

what do you mean it appears to be aligned- its either within/on spec or its not
whats the toe at?

A bad tire inner cord can cause pull while driving- swap the fronts left to right and see if it changes the pull

steering shake or brake pedal shake under braking may be rotors or caliper issue- usually rotors especially if still OE- the Warpmasters

Changing brake fluid/flushing every year cuts down on caliper failure

if its a caliper problem there will be odd marks on the rotor and pads- pull them and take a look for equal wear and overall appearance

ronjon is a well known and trusted company that designed a line of rims just for the TL/Acura line

many gen3 have them- do a search for that name and threads with pics for examples.
look at the meets section threads for pics of cars- there are a few or several sets between the cars there

thanks guys,
yeah the calipers are what I fear...I don't want to have to invest in new brakes because I wanna replace them once and for all with some real nice ones and buying new calipers seems silly at this point (might as well just replace them)

anyways, the alignment seems right according to the stealership.
hmm i'm going to have to jack it up and swap them to see what's up. they keep trying to tell me my frame is bent (my car was hit by some dumb chick a few years ago) but i mean in all honesty, bent frame is the LAST thing i would imagine.

as for the ronjons...I'm going to look into it, they look reallll nice

oh- bent frame- that will mess you up big time
If they have it on the laser alignement rack and it wont go on spec perfect- something bad is wrong
Dealership isnt going to lie about a bent frame- too easy for you to go to a body shop and confirm
They should have looked at all the suspension parts to be certain its not a ball joint and really frame damage to advise you

you dont buy NEW calipers-get rebuilt units from rockauto or kragen for 75$ each

If dealer wasnt specific on why its bad- take it to another shop or DIY an inspection

the alignment should be off somewhere if they are claiming bent frame
caster or camber must be off- but toe is what makes the car pull

A shop with hunter road force wheel balancer can eliminate tire as the issue and tell you where to put each tire for best results

A body shop can string or laser the frame to see if its bent- if so get it pulled straight
