Ok, so i've considered smoking out my lights, but it seems too much of a hassle, because it too much work to get them to look alike, so my friend used a transpararent red paint and did his taillights, where he has the yellow part on and now it looks good. So i'm going to keep my backup lights the same color and red out the rest of the light.

 

i have smoked tails right now but now i dont liek them that much , i want to have all red tails now too. what kind of paint is that he used????? cuz i cant find teh tint or the vinyl crap and i would prefer to use teh paint becasue itll look cleaner

 

I believe Do11ar has redded out his tails. They look nice... very smilar to CL tails.

 

He told me that he used candy apple red transparent paint. He told me that he got it at a hobbie shop, it's used for painting model airplanes or something.

I need to figure out a way to cover up my back up lights.

 

That's an interesting way of doing it...is that paint permenant?

You can just put some tape over the back-up portion when you paint.

 

ya i think so. I know to put tape over it, but i'm having trouble getting it perfectly over it without covering some of the yellow part.

Well if you mess up rayman009(2), then I'm sure you can pick up some used tails for about $25 each...well worth the risk.

 

well, it did my taillights today. They turned out great, except someone go a small fingerprint on it, but i'm going to put another layer of paint on. I went through 3 cans of paint, because the idiot that was doing my taillights kept on screwing up.

 

Dollar smoked it, i red it out, check out my pix, its online.
before i got my 02 tail lights i had it red out.
