turn signals

I have tried to change mu turn signal bulbs but i can't get the fender off. i know in the book it says take out the little clamps and remove the fender. When i try to take out the clips, they wont come out unless you force them out. also, above the wheel is sort of sealed and im scared to take it off because it might not fit back. Has anyone that has done this had this problem? what should i do

Take a approiately sized flat head screwdiriver and stick it in the clip and twist. that should pop the clips out. Then you need to use some elbow grease to pull the black plastic part out.

As long as you don't apply too much elbow grease and wind up breaking the plastic screws when taking them off, they should go back on tight no problem.

I learned the hard way when I used brute force instead of finesse when taking off similar plastic locking screws...

Are you trying to taking fender liner off?? you don't have to take off the fender. I am talking about the plastic shield around the lower side of the fender.

i read in the book that you have to take off the fender after you remove the 3 clamps. it is like a rubber peice that i am trying to peel off. it is hard and im afraid im gonna mess something up.

You don't have to completely remove the underside black fender liner; you only need to pull it away just far enough so that you can reach inside with your arm to get to the turn signal bulb. At least that's what I did...
